MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Four years of experience in the installation or maintenance of pneumatic, electrical or electronic control systems for heating (including boiler), ventilating or air conditioning systems.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Training in the installation or maintenance of pneumatic, electrical or electronic control systems for heating (including boiler), ventilating, or air conditioning systems will substitute for a maximum of two years of the required experience on a month for month basis.
Supplemental Information:
This position will be filled by a New Hire, OR Promotion of a current Permanent employee of Louisiana State Government (State employee).

Differs from HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic Foreman and HVAC/Control Technician Foreman by responsibility for supervising subordinate foreman (at least 2) as well as the entire heating, ventilation and air conditioning operations at a major facility.
Examples of Work:
Insures quantity and quality of work performed by his department.
Coordinates various craft requirements with other departments to insure timely job completion.
Inspects jobs in the field to insure acceptable performance.
Enforces department policy and directs actions required to insure work performances from assigned staff and crews.
Arranges for shift and working schedules, determines priorities and overtime requirements.
Performs administrative duties such as reviewing time sheets, applications for leave and disciplinary requirements.
